Turquoise, the gemstone worn by pharaohs and Aztec
kings, is probably one of the oldest gemstones known.
Native Americans and many of the Indian tribes in Mexico
used turquoise for currency, and the stone is still
associated with the religious rites of the Navajo. Because
it remains fashionable, turquoise is quite highly prized,
although it is fairly plentiful.

Turquoise is the birthstone for December. Europeans
give turquoise jewelry as keepsakes or as a pledge of
adoration. In The Merchant of Venice, Shakespeare uses
this symbolism when Leah gives a turquoise ring to
Shylock to win his favor.

The name turquoise means "Turkish stone" because the
trade route that brought it to Europe came via Turkey.
Turquoise is a non-translucent stone of which the most
valuable specimens are robin's egg blue or deep-blue
azure. Many of these fine specimens come from Iran and
indicate the presence of copper within the stone. Less
precious stones come from North America and are
greener (from iron) than the Persian stones. North
American specimens also contain impurities that form
matrix streaks within the stones. The veins are inclusions
from nearby rock fragments or oxides that form during
the creation of turquoise.

Bali beads are Sterling silver beads which are produced
in Bali,on a small island in Indonesia from a  community
in Celuk, These artists are specialized silver craftsmen
from generations, and They are known for their
granulation and wire work decoration. They  use very
simple tools and make the silver entirely by hand. They
mix the fine pure silver,  copper and metals that will melt
when heated with a torch. After that, the silver will be
poured into a mold to create a sheet or a wire. The silver
is then cut into different shapes and sizes. After it is
formed, they will be cleaned by a solution and dipped
into an oxidixing solution which fills the silver with a dark
colour and highlights the images on a bead.
A limited amount of bali silver is made by casting
because of the nature of the design. Some of designs
also needs both hand skill and the casting process.
Although it is casted, the material used is still 92.5
sterling silver or better known as 925.
Swarovski (Austrian) Crystal is considered by many
people to be the finest quality, full-lead crystal made
today.  It contains a minimum of 32%PbO, making the
crystal optically very pure.  The crystal is then faceted
with tremendous precision, creating beautiful prisms.
Brilliant colors and/or coatings are added to these
crystals to create pendants, stones, and beads of
dazzling beauty and tremendous variety of shapes and
sizes.  Swarovski Crystal is unmatched in quality and
distinction .Swarovski beads are made in a factory in
Wattens, Austria. Swarovski crystal beads are created
using a formula perfected by Daniel Swarovski and his
three sons at the turn of the 20th century. All Swarovski
crystal beads are fired using a combination of quartz
sand and natural minerals, then cooled slowly to avoid
causing stress to the crystals. The high percentage of
lead in all Swarovski crystal beads (32% compared to
competitors 24%) as well as the secret manufacturing
process produces high quality Swarovski crystal beads
with a diamond like brilliance.
AB - Aurora Borealis is a coating that gives the crystal a
rainbow sparkle effect, it was inspired by the Northern
Lights.

Care Recommendations:
The most common dangers to turquoise are scratches,
sharp blows, hot water, and household chemicals.
Because it is a hydrous stone, water or light can
change the color of turquoise stones, and its relative
softness can make it vulnerable to scratches. The
pores of the stone will absorb body or other oils,
causing the stone to darken over time. Do not use an
ultrasonic cleaner on turquoise and avoid immersing it
in chlorine. Polish with a soft cloth.
